Elizabeth Shaffer is the leader Minneapolis
deserves on City Council.
Our city council is broken, focusing more on scoring political wins against the mayor than on moving our city forward with real, equitable change. Luckily, Elizabeth Shaffer is running to change that.
Elizabeth will leverage her pragmatic, grassroots leadership and proven experience to represent the perspectives and priorities of Ward 7 constituents for the good of our community and our city.
Elizabeth is running for City Council because Ward 7 deserves practical solutions, accountable leadership, and a vibrant, safe community for all.
On the issues that matter to you:
DFL-Endorsed
Elizabeth Shaffer
Katie Cashman
Strengthening public safety and reducing violent crime to keep us all safe
Expanding economic opportunity for every Minneapolis resident
Ensuring Minneapolis has strong and safe public schools
Working to ensure housing is affordable and accessible to everyone
Connecting the unhoused with resources and prioritizing community safety over unsafe encampments
Fight gun violence through new policies and greater accountability for armed offenders.
Elizabeth Shaffer has the right priorities to move our city forward.
Katie Cashman isn’t who she told us she was.
After campaigning as an independent voice, Katie Cashman has voted in lockstep with the far left activist flank on the city council, caring more about scoring political points than advancing real progress for our city.
Cashman voted to keep George Floyd Square closed, supports dangerous policies that make us less safe, and lost the DFL endorsement to her opponent due to her out-of-touch votes on the city council.
We deserve a councilmember who will take on violent crime, work with others, and help move our city forward. Not Katie Cashman.
